Artist's Biography 

A native of Charleston, West Virginia, I grew up surrounded by nature and loving animals. My family always had many pets so it is only natural that I have blended two of my passions.... painting and pets. I have lived in the Washington DC area with my husband for the past 32 years and together we raised 2 wonderful sons. I then began painting again which led me to pet portraiture. I started with my dog, Zoe, and soon was painting for some close friends and family. People who had seen my work started commissioning me to paint portraits of their pets. Today, from my home and studio just outside Washington, I create original oil paintings.  

Over the past 10 years, I have been taking art classes in the DC area: the Glen Echo Park, Rockville Jewish Community Center, Washington Studio School and in the homes of artists Carol Rubin and Kathryn Freeman Vita. My paintings have been in shows at the Jewish Community Center art gallery and the Chevy Chase Village art show.
